Crazy Horse Monument Contributions

Crazy Horse Memorial relies solely upon admission fees and the generous contributions from individuals and private institutions for its ongoing construction and operation; the memorial does not accept government funding.

Overview

When Korczak Ziolkowski accepted the challenge of sculpting Crazy Horse Monument, he believed that the project should not be funded by government agencies but that public citizens would recognize the significance of such a memorial and help fund the project with enthusiasm and generous donations.

Every year, thousands of individuals and private businesses donate to Crazy Horse Memorial in a variety of ways. From daily admission fees to memberships, from matching gifts to real estate and appreciated securities, Crazy Horse Memorial continues to receive support to fund its construction, daily operations, and ongoing programs such as its Scholarship fund for Native American students.

Specific Giving
