If you are interested in the Old West, there are old western towns you can tour and an
1880 train you can ride. If you prefer museums, you can wander through several –
a wax museum, a mammoth museum, a reptile center, and various heritage museums.
Of course, there is the famed Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial.
If outdoor adventure is more to your liking, you can enjoy several large caves/caverns, take a ride on a tram, or spend the day hiking through the scenic area. The area is home to a variety of wildlife and some of the most majestic lakes and mountains in the west.
