Spearfish Winter Art Show

The Winter Art Show in Spearfish, South Dakota is sponsored by the Spearfish Arts Center and is held at the same time as the Spearfish Chamber of Commerce's Hot Chocolate Days. For a week in February, you can warm up with a cup of hot chocolate while you stroll through the various venues in Spearfish and appreciate the artistic talents of locals and others. The annual Spearfish Winter Art Show provides an opportunity for regional artists to exhibit and sell their work while promoting appreciation of the visual arts in the greater Spearfish area.

A full day of artistic works from local and international artists.


Artistic mediums include oil and acrylic painting, water colors, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics, photography, calligraphy, weaving, and stitchery. There is an entry fee for participants which is based on the age of the artist and the number of pieces that they wish to display.

Come enjoy a cozy winter's evening sipping hot chocolate and appreciating art.
