Gillette Wyoming
On your way to the Black Hills, you might as well stop and learn a
little something about the American energy supply. Gillette,
Wyoming, which is located about 3 hours west of the Black Hills on
Interstate 90, has harvested more than 250 million tons of coal!
Massive surface coal mines and coal bed methane gas sites are visible
all around Gillette, Wyoming. The town of Gillette has enjoyed a
rather prosperous boom from the development of these resources.
Travelers, therefore, will find many modern amenities and other
comforts of home that are rare in such a small rural town.

Tribes. In 1906, the area was named America's first National
Monument. Visiting the Devils Tower is something that everyone
should do at least once in their lifetime!
The town of Gillette is also near the Thunder Basin National
Grassland. This open space is a fabulous place to go
