As an area to spend your retirement, the Black Hills is one of the best. The mild climate, recreation opportunities, and health and home care options make this part of South Dakota a wonderful place for senior citizens.

The winter months are still full of sunny days making activities like cross-country or downhill skiing, and snowmobiling enjoyable. The Black Hills receive minimal rain and cool nights.
