National Museum of Woodcarving
Come to the National Museum of Woodcarving in Custer, South Dakota and view the amazing art of turning part of a tree into a magnificent piece of useful or decorative art. From May through October, you can watch resident Keith Morrill or other well known woodcarvers put their talent to work in the museum's studio.
The gallery section of the museum houses a plethora of art pieces from woodcarvers across the U.S. There is also a gift shop so that you can take home your favorite woodcarving. If you have a little extra time, make sure to check out woodcarving classes offered at the museum. You can schedule a woodcarving session with a professional woodcarver.
