Wades Gold Mill Living History Mining Museum

In 1979 Les and Idella Wade realized a dream. They wanted to create a machine that would condense a load of gold ore to a single gold pan. With the help of family and friends, Wade's Gold Mill collected antique mining equipment and restored it.

Although Les and Idella died in 2001, the mill is still run by their son, Bob, and daughter in law, Anna. The museum is open from 9am to 6pm seven days a week between Memorial Day to Labor Day. Come explore their unique gold mine and learn the history of mining in the Black Hills.
