Alpine Slide
Fast and furious or slow and methodical - you can pick the speed at which you descend the 2,000 feet on the new and exciting Alpine Slide. Located about 2 1/2 miles from Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills area of South Dakota, the Alpine Slide offers fun for the whole family. more info
The adventure begins with a chairlift ride to the top through the pine forest, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Black Hills area which includes the town of Keystone and Mount Rushmore. You can then spend some time enjoying the mountain top park or checking out the various lookouts. If you need fuel for your descend, you can get something to eat and drink at the mountain top eatery.
Those not feeling adventurous or brave enough to take the twisting, turning ride to the bottom on the Alpine Slide, can take the chairlift back down to the valley floor.
All ages are welcome. There is no cost for children age 6 and under but they must ride with an adult. There are also special rates if you purchase a package of tickets.
