What a great way to experience the herds of elk, deer and wild buffalo as they roam beneath you oblivious to your presence. In the hot air balloon, you are drifting high above them, and to them you are just another cloud. It is also an amazing way to view the mountain peaks, long valleys and beautiful lakes and streams. And of course, what a thrill it would be to view Mount Rushmore, from the basket of a balloon.
Because balloons are considered aircraft, they are regulated by the federal government and thus, are inspected periodically. All flights are subject to consideration by the pilot of the current weather and wind conditions.
You can generally rent a balloon for a day or for any specific amount of time. Balloons can be set up in most large area as long as there is sufficient room to set up the balloon and to land it. Want something spectacular to remember, venture into the blue skies in a balloon.
