Overview

Cedar Pass Lodge was built in 1928, long before Badlands National Monument was established. Here you will find some modern amenities mixed with historic charm. Check out the home made fry-bread and seasoned buffalo tacos in the restaurant, even if you are not up for staying the night. The Lodge is only open seasonally. For the 2010 season Cedar Pass Lodge will be open April 17th through October 9th.

Location

The Lodge is located adjacent to the Ben Reifel Visitor Center, just outside the small community of Interior and at the Interior Entrance to the Park.

Nearby Attractions & Activities

Close by you will find the Ben Reifel Visitor Center which houses the Park’s Headquarters and has interesting information about the area. There is also an amphitheater close by.

You just walk out your door and enjoy the incredible views – especially at sunrise and sunset.

The trialheads of several hiking trails are in close proximity and you can also start or finish your Scenic Loop Drive at Cedar Pass Lodge.

Cedar Pass Lodge offers 22 historic cabins and is located mere steps away from hiking trails. Although there are no private phones and televisions, you'll be pampered with heat and air conditioning, a coffee pot, and hot bath. The facility comes complete with a restaurant and a gift shop.
