Overview
The Black Hills Playhouse is a non-profit, professional summer theatre and training program. Founded in 1946 by Dr. Warren M. ("Doc") Lee, until recently the Playhouse was located in Custer State Park and has the distinction of being one of the oldest summer stock theatres in America. Each season offers a variety of plays, including comedies, musical and more, performed by professional actors and actresses who take their shows on the road throughout the Black Hills.

Visit the Black Hills Playhouse in Hill City (488 Main Street), Custer (1645 Wildcat Lane) or Lead (308 Main Street), South Dakota. Shows tour between venues, so be sure to check ahead.
Hours/Seasons
The Black Hills Playhouse is open from the beginning of July to the beginning of August. Shows are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30pm with matinee performances Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
