Deadwood Oktoberfest

When the leaves on the trees begin to turn colors, it is a sure sign that the Deadwood Oktoberfest is near at hand. In the beginning of October, the little historic western town of Deadwood, South Dakota offers fabulous German music, huge heated beer tents right on Main Street, a German food cook-off, free food and free concerts by some of the best polka stars around.

A full day celebrating Bavarian food and drinks with live entertainment, a running race and so much more.


Even though the weather can be chilly in Deadwood in early October, the temperature is always warm in the tents. Having the celebration in heated tents on Main Street allows the participants to enjoy the flavor not only of the food and beverages, but also of the town itself.

The celebration includes incredible German food, German music, and family entertainment in the Black Hills. This two day event features free Brats, a German food cook-off, and fabulous German bands. Come enjoy the beer and brats in famous Deadwood, South Dakota.
